A waterfall is a place where water flows over a vertical drop in the course of a stream or river. Monsoons in India see a steady rise in waterfalls in some of the most scenic locations like the Western Ghats. The waterfalls become points for recreational activities like picnics, or more for the adventurous kind in the form of treks, rappelling etc. The roar of the falls and the misty spray of water that one encounters when approaching near the falls creates enough excitement to forget the ardous treks and climbs, one goes through! All the effort is worth the scenic beauty, a cool refreshing dip, breath of clean air and some pure sweet water to quench that thirst!
